I met Kelsey back when she was an intern for First Baptist Church Trussville. I immediately just loved her bright and funny personality! We hit it off immediately. We both loved to laugh, be giant goobers, and well have a lot of fun. She told me on many occasions "Stephanie, when I get married you are totally photographing my wedding." In my mind I thought of wouldn't that be amazing but never really thought I would get to do it. I mean at the time I was focusing more on Lifestyle sessions and not too much on weddings. Well fast forward a couple of years and I get an email from Kelsey's mom and I just about fell out of my desk chair! I was just so excited! I knew Kelsey would be a gorgeous bride.
Matt & Kelsey's engagement session was everything I thought it would be fun, loving and well lots of laughter! We went to a Christmas tree farm and a local park and they were perfect. This made me so excited for the wedding day because I knew it would be all of the above and then more!
The day started off with Kelsey getting her hair and makeup done at First Baptist Church Trussville. She was alone and able to focus on the day ahead. She was calm and excited at the same time, if that is even possible. Then the you saw her face light up as her friends and family started to show up to get ready and then all the excitement multiplied!
Kelsey is just about the most beautiful bride ever. She was glowing and smiling from ear to ear! She laughed all day and I believe she enjoyed every minute of her wedding day.
The reception was gorgeous and fun...it was held at Old Car Heaven in Downtown Birmingham. They had breakfast for dinner. I mean is there anything better. They had a cinnamon roll wedding cake (which was from my dreams) and an ice cream sundae groom cake. The guest and the bride and groom danced the night away and they left with a confetti leave. It was perfect perfect perfect!
Congratulations to the gorgeous couple! I wish you many many years of the laughter that you shared on your wedding day!
