I can not tell you how much fun it was to get to photograph this family. These are the sweetest girls you can ever meet. They are so unique in each of their own way. I could tell each of their personalities just in the short amount of time I was with them. We took these pictures at Botanical Gardens with a lot of bribing with Steel City Pops!
The 2nd half of this session was extremely special. Avery has been battling T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since February 2012. Her weekly chemo treatments ended in November but she is still getting monthly treatments. She has 13 months of these and then she can continue being a typical little girl. Avery has on her survivor t-shirt made by a friend and her beads of courage gently wrapped her neck. I loved how she held onto them as her mom told me what each of the beads stand for. For more information on the beads of courage go to this site www.beadsofcourage.org.
There is an annual blood drive in Avery's Name every year and let me tell I have NEVER given blood but as long as she will hold my hand I think I will toughen up and do it this year. If this sweet little girl can go through all of this I think I can do that for her!
Please continue to pray for this sweet family. The journey is not over yet but God is blessing them in so many ways!
